Located in Konya, Selçuk University's Alaeddin Keykubat Campus offers a comprehensive educational environment where students can engage in sports, arts, social activities, and academic pursuits.
In addition to its faculties, institutes, colleges, vocational schools, conservatories, research and practice centers, and coordination offices, the campus stands out with its comprehensive program designed to enhance students' social lives.
Throughout the year, a variety of activities are organized, including fashion, chess, theater, and photography. Alaeddin Keykubad Campus features the ‘19 Mayıs’ Sports Hall, the ‘75. Yıl’ Sports Hall, an Olympic stadium, artificial turf fields, tennis courts, and an indoor Olympic swimming pool. Additionally, the campus houses the Equestrian Facilities and the Prof. Dr. Erol Güngör Library, which are other notable units within the campus.
The Olympic-size indoor swimming pool on campus spans 10,000 square meters and features 10 lanes. It adheres to international standards and is accessible to both students and the public. The roof is constructed using space frame systems.
All processes, including design, manufacturing, and assembly of the space frame roof construction, were handled by Uskon A.Ş. The space frame system not only allows for aesthetically pleasing wide openings without columns but also enhances the project with its color choice. Opened in 2003, the red space frame roof was intentionally chosen to inspire university students towards dynamism and active living.
