Castle Towers Shopping Center, constructed almost four decades ago in Castle Hill, Australia, underwent a comprehensive reorganization by The Buchan Group to align with the contemporary conditions and regional requirements. It was reopened in 2020. The complex has been meticulously designed to cater to the diverse needs of local residents and tourists, offering a wide range of amenities including markets, food courts, cafes, and various retail outlets.
With a direct connection to Castle Hill Metro Station, the project is designed as a lively and well-equipped meeting center. Throughout the reorganization process, additional functions were incorporated and new features and services were introduced to improve the customer experience.
Castle Towers Shopping Center is also known for its floors with various design concepts. This is seen in the design concept of the second floor, which provides a relaxed and modern atmosphere with warm tones and textured surfaces, and the third floor, which showcases an elegant design with smooth shapes and high-quality materials. The renovated Castle Towers Shopping Center has emerged as a highly sought-after destination for shopping and entertainment in the area, offering visitors a diverse range of shopping and entertainment options.
The interiors are characterized by artistic details on the ceilings and floor coverings, showcasing the nature-inspired works of local artist Oliver Watts. Buchan designed his work with the intention of creating a forest-like ambiance, using Durlum's LIVA versatile open-cell ceilings. LIVA open-cell ceilings offer panels that can be customized in a wide array of colors and textures, providing the artist with numerous design options to reflect his creativity. In this dynamic composition inspired by nature, the panels are arranged in various shades of purple, red, cream, green, and blue. Just as different colors harmoniously shine in a landscape illuminated by sunlight, the artist has brought together this vibrant composition using the diverse color palette offered by Durlum.
Furthermore, by positioning the LIVA open-cell ceilings at right angles and varying their heights, the artist has achieved the desired shape and movement in the ceiling. This technique creates a sense of depth and enhances the artistic expression.
