The design of Biogena's headquarters, strategically located near Gaisberg mountain in Salzburg, Austria, was masterfully executed by Berghofer Architects in 2021. The project’s excellence was recognized with the prestigious Saint-Gobain International Gypsum Trophy Award in 2022.

Designed for Biogena, a pioneering company in genetics research and disease solutions, the building stands as a testament to advanced sustainable architecture. It incorporates cutting-edge features, including expansive green roofs and integrated photovoltaic facade elements, which contribute to the building's substantial energy self-sufficiency. The project demonstrates exceptional environmental consciousness with over 6,500 sqm of revitalized biotope area and water-permeable parking surfaces.

The sophisticated lighting design, expertly executed by Bartenbach, utilizes durlum’s innovative sustainable lighting solutions. The integration of their advanced 'DIAMOND TUBE' and 'LIGHT PIPE' daylight systems, complemented by 'Punteo J60' LED spot luminaires, creates an optimal balance of natural and artificial illumination throughout the space.
