LED illuminated polycarbonate façade systems are a new concept approach in the façade sector. Polycarbonate material reflects daylight with its superior light transmittance and is currently used in outdoor advertising with artificial lighting at night. In fact, this kind of advertising has been moved to the building facades. Considering that today's buildings are integral parts of the city's integrity, the contribution to the city's night illumination will increase with the illumination of the building facades and urban life will be increased to 24 hours. In addition, the facades that make up the identity of the building are perceived at night thanks to LED lighting, which will further reveal the individuality of the building. This architectural approach, whose main idea is very accurate, led to the production of outdoor LED luminaires in parallel with the technological developments in the electric luminaire sector. The artificial light obtained by LED luminaires which can be integrated between the facade polycarbonate coating systems gives perfect architectural visuality and integrity both at night and indoors at night. While this concept is very new for our country, it is in the process of becoming widespread in Europe and other developed countries. Overseas PC panel manufacturers are working to improve the market in this regard.

 

Polinet entered into cooperation with Fiberli company which produces high quality LED luminaires in our country in this subject and introduced this new concept at the Istanbul Building Fair in May. The application of this concept, implemented in a shopping mall project in Baku, Azerbaijan, was carried out by Fanus Architecture. It is predicted that polycarbonate facades with LED lighting will have an important place in facade systems in a short time.
