BELENCO and TMMOB Chamber of Interior Architects İzmir Branch was inspired by IFI's (Designing Spaces, Changing Lives) theme set by IFI (International Federation of Interior Architects / Interior Designers) for the first time in 2019.

 

Berk İsmail Öndül, İzmir University of Economics, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, won the first prize in this competition, which is a regional and single stage student competition, organized for the first time this year with the aim of opening new horizons for young designers.

Shashi Caan, the President of the International Federation of Interior Architects / Interior Designers (IFI), was surprised by the competition, which was held for the first time in Izmir, this year. Shashi Caan, who is described as an outstanding thinker in international architectural design; as a practitioner, she is a design futurist, educator and writer.
